A little about us!We are Helen Morton and Michael Derbyshire, we live in Greater Manchester. We first decided to start showing cats 2001. After much searching we went along to our local show and met Val & Dave Wilton of Oakdene Colourpoints. We were lucky enough to get our first girl from Val who is now Gr. Pr. Oakdene Sophisticated Lady or Sophie to us. Later on in the year I bought a kitten again from Val. George is now Gr. Ch. & Imperial Gr. Pr. Oakdene Onenonly. We are so proud of George; apart from him becoming the first Colourpoint Imperial title holder in the UK he has had several overall Best in Show Persian wins along the way.
Early in 2006 we decided to start a small Colourpoint breeding programme which is registered with GCCF. Our aim is to breed healthy kittens raised indoors with plenty of love and attention. All our cats are from PKD negative parents.
We would like to thank Jane Currie at Persian House for getting us started with the very handsome Blue Angel. Thank you to Ab & Joke at Double Forgeron for the beautiful Missy who is a Mum in a million and for all your valuable advice. A big thank you to Anne & Mike Harrop at Shakirah for our wonderful cats Roller, Mardigras and Crystal to come and live with us. They are a true joy to have around and we love them dearly. Thanks again Anne for designing this website for us and for listening to me going on about cats and always being happy to offer your expert advice. We wish you all the best in your new venture of Exotic Colourpoints.
